To equip young people in Kenya with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed decisions regarding their financial management, mental health, sexual and reproductive health and drug use.
We aim to break down barriers, challenge stigmas, and promote healthy relationships, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being of the youth
We envision a future where every young person in Kenya is well-informed and able to make choices that align with their values, and is part of a supportive community that fosters open dialogue.
Through workshops, mentorship sessions, culturally sensitive programmes, and interactive sessions, Youth Educated equips young people with skills and values that will enable them to build healthy relationships.
Youth Educated is a non-profit organisation dedicated to equipping young people in Kenya with the essential life skills needed to make informed decisions as they transition to adulthood. Through culturally relevant education, we aim to foster well-being and enable youth to navigate life’s complexities with confidence.
We encourage open and honest discussions, creating supportive spaces to break down societal taboos and foster dialogue.
Equip young people with the skills to make informed decisions advocating for autonomy and respect for diverse experiences.
Empower youth to be agents of change, promoting critical thinking and challenging harmful societal norms through education and advocacy.
The Educated Futures Programme (EFP) focuses on equipping students with essential life skills through interactive and engaging after-school sessions. We cover key areas that affect the well-being and future of young people, offering a supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and apply new knowledge. Our holistic approach ensures that participants are well-prepared to face the challenges of adulthood.
The Brothers’ Keepers Programme (BKP) is designed to empower and support young men as they navigate the transition from adolescence to adulthood. Recognising the unique challenges and societal expectations that young men face, the programme aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for them to explore issues related to masculinity, mental health, and responsible decision-making.
By promoting a sense of brotherhood and solidarity among participants, the programme aims to create a supportive network that young men can rely on as they navigate the challenges of adulthood.
The program focused on equipping participants with critical decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The Educated Futures Programme (EFP) at Drumvale Secondary School aimed to address the educational gaps in life skills among youth by offering interactive after-school sessions.
It targeted young people aged 16-19, who represented 80% of participants, ensuring strong engagement at a crucial developmental stage.
Participants showed balanced improvements in the key life skills, with decision-making emerging as the area where 90% reported increased confidence. Majority of participants (58.4%) experienced positive attitudinal changes.
High attendance and participant commitment demonstrated the program’s relevance and effectiveness, though some feedback indicated areas for refining trainer delivery.
Overall, EFP successfully fostered personal growth and promoted healthier behaviours, with ongoing opportunities to improve the program’s impact and reach
